Our Steering Group

We are a group of volunteers dedicated to furthering the field of coaching for social impact. We bring a diverse range of experience and expertise and are passionate about the value of this work. This is an important but emerging field of coaching and we want to be one of the driving forces furthering the coaching for social impact agenda more widely.

Join our steering group!

If you are also interested in coaching for social impact and have a couple of hours a month available to contribute to your community, then we would love to hear from you. Your attitude and energy are more important to us than any particular skills or background. You might be coach, student, manager, researcher, funder or someone who has received coaching yourself. We strive to be a diverse and inclusive community and would like for this to be reflected in our steering group.

What we ask of you

  • Attendance at the steering group meeting for an hour and a half every 8 weeks

  • Participation on one of subgroups, working with colleagues for a short amount of time between meetings (such as the podcast group, the comms team, or the peer forum group)

  • To be included in the group roles rota including note taking, chairing and secretary. You will be given training for these roles (and can ask for exemption from the rota if there are aspects of any role which you would find especially challenging or stressful).

What you will gain

  • To be part of a supportive community of like-minded people

  • If you are a coach- to counteract the isolation that can often accompany this work

  • Great networking opportunities

  • A chance to be part of a pioneering field within coaching

  • Opportunity to gain new skills and experience

  • Opportunities to contribute to articles for Coaching Today magazine, and to be involved with other possible future ventures such as books and workshops

If you are interested please email us at coaching4socialimpact@gmail.com to introduce yourself and outline any relevant experience you might  have and why you would like to be part of the steering group.
